Natural, Genuine, Authentic, Provenance, what do these words mean?

Natural- as found in nature and not involving anything made or done by people;

Genuine- If something is genuine, it is real and exactly what it appears to be;

Authentic- If something is authentic, it is real, true, or what people say it is;

So what is Provenance?  the place of origin of something.

So, it is not difficult to determine if something is Natural, Genuine, Authentic, but being able to Prove where something comes from is more difficult.  We buy materials from people who live in certains parts of the world, so it is legitimate to assume that the materials came from that location, or nearby, but Proving it another matter.  Very few materials come with "paperwork" that shows when, where and how they were mined or obtained.

So, at this time, what I can say is the the materials on Etsy are all Natural, Genuine, Authentic, and to the best of my ability, I can say where they came from (perhaps provenance with a small "p"), but I don't have Provenance paperwork for them.

There are few things on my Pattern Site, that are not Natural, that is made totally of natural materials.  Sugilike (notice the k), is a material made of Sugilite, and other materials.  Mohave Turqouse is mand made from Turquoise, dye, and metal.  Cubic Zirconia is a man made material.  Sapphires are almost all man made.  King's Manassa Turquoise is natural Turqouise that has been compressing from ground up tailings.  Likewise for Kingman Turquoise.

What about treatment?  Treatment refers to the production of materials that are stronger, and have fewer voids or cracks.  Many materials are stabilized.  In fact, almost all Turquoise is stabilized.  For Turquoise, I have tested almost all my material, and specific note whether it has been colored, and/or stabilized.
